Day 7 — Nano Wrimo 2018
The first week of Nano Wrimo 2018 is almost behind us, and things could not have been going any better. First off, I love telling stories and writing them down for people to read and enjoy. More importantly however, is the idea that I hope and pray the books I write will inspire people to look deeper at life and realize that there is so much more to our existence than just working a 9-to-5 job, having a family, and living in a two story home with a wrap-around porch, a white picket fence, and two-and-a-half children.
C.S. Lewis put it the best when he said, “You do not have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body.”
When we start to understand that life is more than just about the flesh and blood vehicle that we travel around and put so much emphasis on – when we reframe our thinking – we will begin to see life for what it was meant to be. So, yes…I enjoy writing books and have been having a wonderful time challenging myself to write this one in such a small window of time. However, what’s important to me is for the books I write to resonate with my readers on a deeper level, to see the true beauty of life that is much more than skin deep.
So please, enjoy these small videos I have put together for you during the Nano Wrimo 2018 journey, but I hope that you will stick around to read the books, and see the heart that I am pouring into them. If you haven’t yet started with my debut novel Beyond the Gate, than you can do so now. And when you are done reading, comment down below on what the book meant for you.
